Addictions and other Character Flaws

I am a complexity of randomosity. I love the dark for its secrets and solace, a downward transcendental redemption for the sins committed in the daylight. My life is an addiction. Much as sometimes I may want to turn away and start from scratch, somehow it draws me back in. I want to remember the things most important, so here's the proof - and another addiction.

The greatest darkness is inside my heart...

Loving you is a gift-
and a curse
A dream caught in searing light,
a truth that I can't argue
Simple, shattering,
all-consuming and heartrending
sweet songs and darkest despair
I loved you before I knew love,
in evenings filled with starlight,
with a heart still young and pure
I loved you before I understood pain,
in days completely sunbathed,
with eyes that weren't so clear
I loved you before I found myself,
in the magic black of night,
with songs I couldn't sing
I love you now completely,
on waking and in slumber -
...with a heart that's seen the difference...
...with open eyes and an open mind...
...with the song of all the ages
And only now I realize that
love is the greatest darkness of all.
